Spring Pansy Granny Free Pattern

Pansy flowers represent the thoughts of lovers, shared before a word is spoken.
Named for the French word for "thought" (pensee), the pansy was said to be a charmed flower, possessing telepathic magic. Attending to the plucked bloom, you could hear your lover's thoughts.



You will need:


Cascade Yarn Ultra pima color Pale yellow
Cascade Yarn Ultra pima color  Lavender
Cascade Yarn Ultra pima color  Purple
Hook size 3.25 mm
Tapestry Needle

Stitches used:


ch: chain
sc: single crochet
dc: double crochet
sl st: slip stitch
tr: rebble
sk st: skip stitch


Pattern:

Round 1: with yellow color,  In a magic ring, ch1, 5hdc inside the ring, sl st with first sc 

Round 2: in front loop only sc all around , sl st with first sc.Fasten off



Round 3: With Purple Color, sl st in any of the sc,

 [ch6 sl st in next sc] twice, 



ch4 sl st in next sc,

 ch5, sl st in next sc, 

ch4, join with sc in beginning ch6


Round 4:In same ch6 loop, [hdc, dc, tr,(ch1, tr) 9 times, dc, hdc, sc],






 in next ch6 lp: [sc, hdc, dc, tr, (ch1, tr) 9 times, dc, hdc, sc]

 Fasten off 
Round 5:  with Lavender color join with a sc in next ch 4 sp,

 in same loop [ hdc, 6dc, hdc, sc],

 in next ch 5 space loop, [sc, hdc, 7dc, hdc, sc] 

in next ch 4 sp loop,[ sc, hdc, 6dc, hdc, sc],


 Fasten off


Creating your Granny Square base:

Place your flower, wrong side facing you and with Light Taupe Yarn color

sl st in any st of round1,


create a square by, sl st in one of the back loops left from round 2, ch2,  and sl s  4 times as shown in the pictures.






Round 1: with Flower right side facing you, 

[3dc in any of the 3ch space of the square you just made, ch, 3dc]




 repeat 3 more times, join with first dc


Round 2: ch1, 3dc in same sp,


 [3dc, ch, 3dc in next sp from previous round, 3dc in between the next sp, between the next 3dc from previous round] 3 more times,


 join with first dc.

Round 3: ch, 3dc in same sp, 



3dc in next st, 3dc, ch 3dc in next sp from previous round, ([3dc in next sp] twice, 3dc, ch, 3dc in next sp from previous round) 3 more times.

  4. they are lovely and i am trying:) BUT (i am Danish so their might be some translation diff:) what is the diff. between trebble and double chrochet?? Please help me:)
