    1. I would make a ch and wrap it around your body about 2 inches below your breast.Make sure your number ends up to be a multiple of 3.

For he shoulder strap the width would stay the same.just make sure they are spaced equally apart, and add a few rows to make them a little longer.

for the "skirt" part, the pattern stays the same, you will have more patterns per row though.

    2. LOL, I just thought it was so cute! Yes, please that would be great. Also, do you have any idea of the gauge? I know the size says x-small but that could mean just about anything depending on the country...When you do get this back, could you maybe measure it around the chest and from top to bottom sans shoulder straps? That would help me decide which grand-daughter to make this for...:) :) ♥

  18. This is beautiful! I am working on it now but there some spots where the written direction does not match the picture...It's not hard to figure out...thank you for the pattern!

  19. I was working on the strap and I'm confused. Do you do the shells then sc across like the body? When I look at the picture the ch3 and sk 2 alternate but on mine it always ends up on the same side. Could you please clarify. Thank you!

  20. Could you please post a picture of the exact yarn you used?

  21. Loving the pattern so far! Have some questions though
    1) The rows for the back end at 20, and the rows for the back straps start at 23. Are any instructions missing?
    2) The back and front straps, as written, don't come close to meeting (I will need to crochet quite a few more rows for it to fit). Are the front and back strap instructions correct?

I am actually making a new Ballerina top following my instructions step by step as If I was seeing it for the first time....I am at the shoulder straps right now....will fix mistakes as I go...and post a pic of the top when I am done....as for now my top is pink....I don't know about the bottom yet.

  27. Kathy. kare4u58@comcast.netJuly 25, 2014 at 12:55 PM

This pattern is so cute and I would like to make it for my Grandaughter who wears a 1x, could you please tell me how many skeins it would take to make this? The yarn I am looking at is about 180 yards. I figured about 4 or 5 skins of each color would that be about right? I would rather have more than what I need than not enough. Please send me an email and let me know at kare4u@comcast.net.
    Thank you

  29. I love this pattern! But I'm stuck :( On the straps, it looks as though your chain 3's are on alternate rows, but when I do it, they end up on the same side, after doing the sc across.
    Are you able to help?

    Thank you x
