Gingerbread Man Christmas Ornament Free Pattern

Inspired By the cutest ginger Bread ever from the Movie Shrek, here is an adorable Pattern for you my friends, Mrs Gingy has Flowers embellishments, and a Crochet Flower ,  her neck is adorned with a ready made stick on Crochet Ribbon I found at my local Craft store.



You will Need:
Crochet hook : 2.25mm and 2.75mm
Berroco Comfort DK in 2720
Berroco Comfort in 9701
Tapestry Needle
Polyfill
Snap on eyes
3 red buttons
Fabric Glue

(cat is optional)


Stitches used

ch: chain
sc: single crochet
sl st: slip a stitch
Sk st: skip a stitch





Pattern:


Leg 1:

Round 1:in a magic circle ch, 6sc (6sc)


Round 2: 2sc in each st all around (12sc)

Place a color Yarn scrap at the begining of your row to help knowing where to begin counting.

Round 3: 2sc in next st, sc (18sc)

Round 4: in back loop only, [sc2tog, 2sc] 5 times (13sc)

 Round 5-16: sc all around   (13sc)


Fasten off

Leg 2 :

Repeat from Round 1-16, Do Not Fasten off
Round 17: Join Leg 2 with leg 1 with a sl st placing both legs facing you






sc all around you will now have 28 sc
Round 18-26: sc all around (28sc)



Stuff Firmly

Arms 1:

Now you will no longer work in the Round
Row 27: 6 sc, ch11, turn

Row 28: in second ch from hook sc, sc in 9 other ch, continue on the body, 14sc, ch11, turn




Row 29: in second ch from hook sc, sc in 9 other ch, continue on the body, 14sc, turn



Row 30-35: ch, sc all along, turn ( 34sc)



Fasten off:

Arms 2:

 Other side of arms:
Row 27: ch10, sc at the body, first st from the arm, 13sc, ch11, turn






Repeat Row28 to 35








Sew the bottom side of both arms



sc all around the end of the arm, picking up 15sc, you will be working in the round again


Round 28: in back loop only,[  sc, sc2 tog ]  all around until you have 6sc left fasten off repeat on other arm




Sew both upper sides of arm, leaving the 16 middle stitches open

Stuff Firmly

Sew it closed

Head:

Round 1: in a magic ring, ch, 6sc

Round 2: 2sc in each st all around (12sc)
Round 3: 2sc in next st, sc (18sc)

Round 4: 2sc in next st, 2sc (24sc)

Round 5:  2sc in next st, 3sc (30sc)
Round 6:  2sc in next st, 4sc (36sc)

Round 6:  2sc in next st, 5sc (42sc)

Round 7: in back loop only sc all around.(42sc)



Round 8-10 : sc all around (42sc)



Round 11: in back loop only [sc2tog, 4sc ] all around (36sc)





Add Snap on eyes


Round 12: [sc2tog, 3sc ] all around (30sc)





Round 13: [sc2tog, 2sc ] all around (24sc)




Fill with polyfill


Round 14: [sc2tog, sc ] all around until you have 6sc left fasten off


Leave long tail and sew the opening .





Sew the head on the body.




Draw a mouth with fabric color
Take your Hook 2.75mm and the Worsted Cream Yarn.
sl st st bottom of right foot and begin to go all around your Gingerbread Man,









Add the buttons, using the Fabric Glue



sl st with your brown yarn at the top of head, ch 20, sl st back at first ch, fasten off sew in tail....and
Voila!!!!

  3. I am searching for a pattern to an afghan that is all over pinterest and it seems to trace back to this site. I'm not the only one - everytime someone posts a picture of this particular afghan either on pinterest or flickr there's a string of comments asking for the pattern. When I right clicked on the image and had google search for the image it came up with "Color Pop granny blanket, tutorial by Annoo´s Crochet". So, is it one of yours and could you put up a link for the pattern if you have it? Here is the picture of the blanket if this site will let me post links.
