Darling Summer Dress Free Tutorial

Easy To make , this flirty playful summer Dress mixes some Crochet and sewing skills. The Color choice for Cotton Fabrics is endless, I chose a Romantic, flower Pattern, and a Pastel Blue yarn Color, what will you choose?


You will Need:

Sharp Crochet Hook 1.4mm
Crochet Hook 3.5mm
Berroco Comfort in the color of your choice
One Yard of your choice of Fabric, I like light Cotton.
Basic Sewing Knowledge for Heming.

Stitches Used:

sc: single Crochet


Pattern:

This Dress is for age 7 Girls .

Place your Fabric right side, flat in front of you, 


Row1: at about 1 inch of the right Corner, sl st with your 1.4 mm crochet and your Berroco Yarn,


 now poke hole at about half an inch from your sl st, and at about half an inch of the top border of the fabric.


Go along, I created 116 sc, and I made sure to Leave 2 inches of fabric at the end, as you will use it for sewing the Dress together.



From now on, you will be working in the round,
Round 2: sc with first sc made, [2sc, sc2tog] all around, you will have (87 sc)
[2sc, sc2tog] all around, you will have (87 sc)


Round 3: [5sc,sc2tog] all around ( 73sc)







Round 4- 13: sc al around (73sc)



Row 14: 13sc, turn

Strap:

Row 1: ch, 5sc, turn

Row 2-40 : ch, 5sc, turn
count 12 st for the arm hole, sl st through body and strap on 5 st, sl st in next st, fasten off



count 13 st from front strap,


Strap 2:


Row 1 : sl st , 5sc, turn


Row2-40 ch, 5sc, turn

count 17 st to the left to create arm hole, sl st through back and strap along 5 st




Fasten off
Sew in all loose end


Flowers (make 2)


In a magic circle
Round 1: ch, 6sc, sl st with first sc


Round 2: ch 2sc in each st (12sc), sl st with first sc



Round 3: ch, sc all around (12sc)

Round 4: [2sc, sc2tog] 3 times (9sc)

Round 5: [ch2, in same st ,dc, ch, tr, ch, dc, ch2, sl st in next st ]repeat all around times, sl st in first ch2,  Fasten off







Sew Flowers on Straps (sl st side so it will cover the strap seam)

Now sew the skirt part of the dress, or as I do, asks someone's help to do it..;-))))
